The firm of Sioui Mitts Law presently comprises four lawyers plus support staff working together to continue the tradition of being the only full-service law firm in the City of Quinte West.
Timeline
Beginnings
The firm's roots in the community originated with the practice of Roderick S. Campbell, who practiced in the Town of Trenton from the early 1950s through to his passing in 1982. Roderick was joined by his nephew, Bertram R. Garrett, in 1972, and after a successful career, Bertram retired from the practice of law in 2008. On December 1st, 1999, Thomas H. Fleming, a local area lawyer, commenced a formal association with the firm, and the firm name was changed to Fleming Garrett Sioui. Mr. Fleming has since retired from the practice of law.
Stephen Sioui
Stephen M. Sioui joined the practice as an associate in 1987 and became a partner in the firm with Bertram R. Garrett two years later. He retired on January 31, 2024.
Devin Mitts
Devin R. Mitts joined the firm in 2002 and joined Stephen M. Sioui as a partner in the firm in 2008.
Caterina Gucciardi
Caterina E. Gucciardi, a successful sole-practitioner in the Oshawa area, joined the firm in 2009.
Jennifer Seufert
Jennifer joined the firm here in Trenton as an associate in 2015 and became a partner at the firm with Devin Mitts in 2022.
John Wonnacott
John Wonnacott is a fifth-generation Quinte native and has been practicing criminal law for over 35 years. He joined the firm and became an associate with us in 2016.
